Driver installation problem

Hi

I've been having problems lately installing a Firewire
card and a RAID controller.

What happens is that XP recognizes the new hardware but
when it comes to installing the corresponding drivers, I
get the following error message:

"Cannot install this hardware
There was a problem installing this hardware:
IEEE 1394 Controller / RAID Controller
An error occured during the installation of the device
The data is invalid."

There are two articles in the knowledge database relating
to the "data is invalid" problem but neither solution
offered solves the problem.

Any idea anyone what is going on here?
