Driver installation question

I am attempting to reinstall my DSL modem, but it will
not allow me to reinstall the driver files from a source
other than my CD-ROM drive. I need to install these files
from their current location in a folder on my desktop.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to remedy this
situation (without using my CD-ROM drive)?

Copy the disk from CD to hard drive.
