DRIVER_IRQ_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL

I'm having a big problem with an error that is popping up
on my computer. I just bought a brand new dell system
running Windows XP, what happens is I get a blue screen
that pops up and says "Windows has shut down to prevent
damage" DRIVER_IRQ_LESS_OR_NOT EQUAL...bunch of other
numbers and letters, followed by "Beginning dump of
physical memory". I called the computer company and they
got me to use System restore and that didn't do anything.
Then they got me to format the hard drive and re-install
everything, and that didn't do anything. They now think
if they replace the hard drive and ram it will work, do
you guys think that's what it is? It seems to happen when
I'm downloading something off of the internet and am
connected to the internet for a fairly long period of
time.

Brad, I'm having the exact same problem. It's happened
approximately 10-12 times in the last 2 months; the last
time being right before I checked this newsgroup. I'm
still trying to identify he device driver that's causing
the problem. If I remember correctly, the problem
started around the time my modem fried and I replaced it
with a Creative Modem Blaster V.92 PCI. If I ever find a
fix, I'll let ya know.

Regards
