dropping programs

I am getting an ongoing irritating problem where "help"
and the "program compatability wizard" will not work. I
used to get a "system 32 file corrupt" message when I
tried NTFS, it does not occur when I use FAT32 on my C
drive. The other drives are NTFS w/o problems.
