DVD Drive appears then disappears?

Guys,

I have a HP Pavillion ZD7260us notebook. At first my DVD combo drive wasnt
showing in device manager at all. I looked at this site and used the "Upper
filter" remedy. After rebooting my DVD combo appeared in My Computer and
Device Manager.

But when i tried putting in a dvd or cd into my drive the drive sounds like
its loading and after about one mine the dvd stops responding and when i
check in My Computer and device manager, the DVD drive is gone. The drive
does not reappear until i reboot.

Can someone please help me solve this problem.
