DVD drive won't recognise disks

Posted: 09-01-2003, 05:09 PM
I have a Samsung SD-616T DVD ROM drive, which will not
play DVD's. I have updated the firmware, the DVD player
software, uninstalled it and let XP re-install it, all to
no avail. When I try to play a disc, Power DVD just
says "Please Insert a Disc into Drive D:." and Media
Player just says "No disc in Drive D:" I am running
Windows XP Home Edition Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1
Build 2600. have checked Knowledge Base, to no avail!!

HELP!!
