DVD Driver woill not read disc

The DVD driver will not read the disc. The door open &
shuts and that is about it. IDE DVD-ROM 16X

Probably either a dirty DVD (check for dust, scratches and/or fingerprints)
or the lens on the DVD drive needs cleaning.
