My computor isn't acknowledging that I have a CD reader
or DVD writer installed in the computor. I
havetryedeverything I can think of the drivers are not
missing which is what it is saying but the drivers will
not let you use and disk drive.

Hi
I just reformatted my computer( and it was a breeze)
thanks to all your help!!!!
I would like to know how to tell which is set to master,
and which is slave( regarding a newly installed dvd rom
and an existing cd writer.
I may have the jumpers set incorrectly, because the dvd
rom hangs.
How can I find out if I have them set correctly, without
pulling them both out of my computer, and checking the
jumpers? I have all the critical and recommended updates
installed.
Is there somewhere I can look to see if they are right?
Thanks again for all your help.

They are jumpers.. You have to look at them. Sorry. =)
Open the side of your case and look in there with a flashlight - you might
be able to tell.
