Eligibility for Vista x64 media

Posted: 01-03-2009, 06:19 PM
Hello,

I'm interested in getting a copy of Vista x64 and wonder if I qualify? I
got my copy of Vista Business x86 through the Power Together program a
couple of years ago. There's no information on the packaging about
acquiring 64 bit media. Do you know if this version is eligible? TIA

I'm aware of that web page. Unfortunately I receive an error when I try to
order the media. Perhaps my key is not acceptable, but it only says "an
error as occurred so I can't be certain.

as far as I know only retail copies can go both 32 bit and 64 bit...

so I guess you will have to ask microsoft if you can do that..
since you got your copy for free

I wonder if anyone who got a free copy from the beta program has tried going
to 64 bit..

perhaps if they could, then you can too

Sorry, but alternative media is only for those who have purchased full
retail versions. Microsoft freebies are always OEM versions, so
alternative media is not available to you.
