enabling one desktop across multiple monitors

Posted: 09-07-2006, 02:17 AM
Hello,

I have a Dell GX280 with a built-in Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset
Family that supports two monitors. I recently installed Vista RC1 (5600) as
a clean install and everything went fine.

When the desktop comes up I see a mirrored desktop on my two Dell 1709FP
LCD's. When I go into the dislay properties one of my displays is listed as
greyed/not attached. If I right-click and select "attached" I can then
select the "extend the desktop onto this monitor" option. When I click apply
nothing happens.

I have tried looking for a Vista video driver and/or Dell monitor drivers to
see if that would resolve the issue. I am out of things to try. Any
suggestions?

-Cheers

I am having the same problem... You would think dual monitors would have been
on the top of the list for trouble shooting.

I ended up installing the XP video driver (I took the risk!) and multiple
monitors work again. But native Vista drivers for this card do not.
