enter on new keyboard won't work

I have a problem with my enter/return key. I bought a new key board thinking this was the problembut it wasn't. When i enter text into say google search and press enter it doesn't seem to recognise it. It's a real pain as I can't type in word or any thing. It started happening in Warcraft III. I have been to the control panel and it says the device is working properly Any Ideas?? I tried reinstalling Warcraft but to no avail. PLease help me this is driving me crazy.
