Epson impact printer

The Epson printer I am dealing with is an older one LQ-
570+. This printer works perfectly in Windows 98 but when
it comes to XP that is another story. I was able to add
the printer to the XP machine but could not use the disk
that came with it to install the drivers. I have to use
the genetic drivers XP provides for this machine. This
works fine in word and stuff like that but when I try to
print checks (which is the use for this printer) I can not
pick the proper customized paper. Does anyone know which
setting for tractor feed I would choose to get a printout
of 6inches. Or does anyone know where I could look to
find this information. I have tried the Epson site to no
avail. Any help would be a preciated.

create a form the size you require. If the custom size is supported by the
GPD file for the printer, the new form will appear in the list of page
options

Thank you that helped but now I need to speed this printer
up. It took 45 minuets to print 25 checks. Does anyone
know how to speed it up?

change the parallel port BIOS setting on the computer. Check AT or
something not ECP or EPP and see if you can get better throughput.
