error code 0x80070002, windows product activation

I just installed windows and it gives me this error when
trying to log on. The only way I can get into windows is
through safe mode. I tried doing what the knowledge base
said, but the registry keys were either correct or non
existant. Do you know how to fix this problem?

Go to safe mode and see if the two following files exist.
C:\windows\system32\wpa.dbl and C:\windows\system32\wpa.bak

If they both exist try the following:
Rename wpa.dbl to wpa.old and the nrename wpa.bak to
wpa.dbl
Reboot and see if this helped.
