Default Error code 112

Trying to install software that on another XP installs
without problem, however in a computer that has just
recently crashed and the C drive had to be replaced and
the OS reinstalled, I keep getting this error code 112.

I checked the Knowledge Base and it gave a suggestion that
cleanmgr be used. And as the saying goes, been there done
that and still have the same problem.

The problem resurfaced when I was installing NSW, had to
finish installation though the CD. The curious thing is
that when I checked with Norton windows doctor, it came
back with a whooping 99 errors is 5 categories.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Cleanmgr (the disk cleanup tool) will only remove files that are older than
14 days. You can manually remove the rest via Windows Explorer.

If you type NET HELPMSG 112 in a command prompt window, you get "not enough
space on disk." This message can be a bit of a red herring and often it is
referring to an overflowing Temp folder instead of a lack of space on the
hard drive.
