error code 633 after low power state

message boxes detailed below. This has only started to happen within the last
three or four days, up till then my modem connected to the internet
automatically and any web sites previously open where available. I have tried
to close my internet connection down before using the power button, but when
I revive the system and try to open my internet connection the system opens
the dial box and when I press dial I get the same boxes again. Only a Restart
or full Reboot will give me a usable modem, has anybody get any sergestions,
thanks?
Error Connecting to my ISP
Opening port
Error 633: The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is
not configured properly. Etc.
Behind that box is a second box stating “Connecting to my ISP….. Opening port”
