Error Code 7 during XP install

Why am I getting an Error Code 7 during an XP install. My
system crashed (Sony PCG-FXA36 Laptop) and I'm trying to
install XP Pro over the XP Home that came preinstalled.
I'm booting from the CD in the hopes of doing an upgrade.

I get to a screen that says "File \i386\halacpi.dll could
not be loaded. The error code is 7" What does that mean.
