error joining a domain

I'm running the X64 version of the vista beta, and i'm trying to join my
domain on a 2003 server (x86). I'm getting the following error:

***Begin error***
The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "<domain>":

The Remote procedure call failed and did not execute.
***End error***

I'm running ISA 2004 SP2 on the server. RPC is allowed, strict compliance
off.

Any ideas?

I ran into this same problem. You have to disable the rpc filter in isa
server 2004. Don't ask me why they haven't tested this configuration yet.

What if you don't have an ISA server with rpc filter enabled?
