error: Parallel port driver service failed to start

I'm having the same error written to my system event logs
on every boot. here is the error:

Following the provided link tells me that there was a
problem with starting a service (duh). Where I'm stuck
is I don't have a "Parallel port driver" service - I
don't even have a parallel port! (hmmm)

I'm on a Dell Inspiron 5100 (laptop) with Windows SP Pro.

I'm trying to troubleshoot some intermitant bsods and
would love to make this error message go away. Has any
one dealt with this issue before? Anyone have any
suggestions?
