Evaluation Image

Posted: 07-19-2003, 06:05 AM
Hi there, it's so wired, the copy of my XP Embedded studio is not evaluation
version, but after I built a run-time image I still got the following
message "Warning 1115: This is an evaluation run-time image that is only
valid for 90 to 180 days after it is first used." What should I do??

Thanks.

Ray

You need to enter the runtime License PID into Target Designer.

Runtime License PID's are purchased separately from the development system.

By default, an unlicensed run-time image expires after 120 days. This 120
days is this from the date that it has gone through FBA? Is there any way to
reactivate an evaluation image after the 120 days?

cal4,

There is no "easy" way to re-activate XPe.
Basically, there is no activation process there. During FBA the license ID is used by some system and FBA components.

Anything we can suggest you to work around the problem would be totally a hack and illegal anyway.
