Run IE7 in a window. Looks great. Drag it by the corner to fill the screen,
still looks great. I can still see the glass effect. Push the maximise button
and a crappy dark solid title bar is displayed. This is the same for all
applications. MS Word looks great dragged out to full size with the glass
effect. Vista 50% aero? Be nice if MS practiced some consistency. Tell me
what you think.

I think that it was stated that they do this because after maximizing a window
that the desktop is no longer 3D, so there is no need to have glass. I find it
less distracting to have a solid border color when the window is maximized that
a glass border as I had a glass border from the sidebar and taskbar once when
something funky was going on.

I like glass except for like you say, when you maximize how ugly it gets.
If they're not going to have it transparent, at least have it the same color
and design as Aero Glass except without the transparency.

The entire display system is under a lot of work yet and is supposedly much
better in the RC1 branch, especially for non-glass users.

Too stupid for a beta OS.

When you help someone like this they will just be back in a few more
days with more stupid question.

This group is being flooded with moronic questions:
How do I get a product key
Where do I get a driver for xyz hardware
Won't install on my lapotop
Won't install on my computer circa 1968
My crappy video card won't run aero glass (the sky is falling)
My crappy sound card doesn't work
Can't figure out how to activate
Will my 16 bit program from 1992 run on Vista
How long can I use Vista Beta
How do I dual boot
I NEED STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO GET XP BACK
cannot delete windows.old file

Ignore them, children should only listen to adult conversations, not
be incouraged to join in.

I'll remember this if you ever need help with any issue. I really don't think
that you should post with that sort of attitude. How would you feel if you
didn't know what you were doing and someone came up and posted something like
this? I really hope that your system dies beyond repair for being such a jerk to
people asking questions about how to do something, even if it is a simple task.
NOT EVERYONE IS A COMPUTER GENIUS, in case you haven't noticed.

He won't read the responses anyway, Mark. He is a drive-by troll. I just
blocked him and deleted the posts.

Wow! That's about the most arrogant message I've ever read. Very immature.

Yes, it is pretty immature. But this is because the OP is probably
immature. Don't expect mature responses from immature persons, and you will
be happier.

Considering that Vista is:
1) An entirely NEW OS.
2) with an entirely NEW driver base
it is no wonder many are having problems with the Beta.

They have these problems for various reasons, only one of which is SOME
person's lack of maturity.
It does no good, and helps no one, to complain about the "immature"
responses in these newsgroups. It also does no good to BEAT on the issue.
Just accept that not all users of Vista Beta 2 are computer pros like
yourself, since Microsoft has opened its Vista Beta 2 offering to the
general public, most of whom do not even KNOW how to install a driver, or
even what a driver is.

The same text is posted a hundred other places. It was probably a bot.
