> Hello! I saved my MS Movie Maker project into a movie file
Sorry, but I think your answer is in those links.

All .wmv files are not necessarily compatible and
just because they play in Windows Media Player
does not mean they are fully compatible with Movie
Maker.

Good luck finding a solution.

thanks for trying to help. I am virtually a computer novice, and cannot
believe that this family video can be so hard to share. I can understand
having commercial DVD's in a format that is hard to share, but shouldn't any
company that transfers home videos for the consumer have it in a format that
can be shared since it is not a licensing issue? I guess it is best just to
have this 3 minute DVD duplicated several times at great cost to share it
with my family. Glad I spent $1,300 on a new computer!
Not sure what you mean when you say
the narration cuts off. Do you mean it
comes to the end or do you mean it has
more content but just ceases to play?

The narration file should be independant
from the behavior of the video track.

Actually, you can drag the narration clip
right or left with the Hand by placing your
pointer on it. Place it anywhere you choose.

If the narration file is longer in duration than
the video clip...it should continue playing as
the Playback Indicator progresses across
the timeline.

I have two computers that I have tried to run movie maker on. I first
installed it on my desktop because I have 2 250 gig hard drives in it.
My laptop only has one 40 gig. When I put it on my desktop computer,
the install went good. I ran a test run of just a couple of pictures
and a small video. All went well. Later I tried to start a new
project. The program would shut down when I put the 8th picture in.
It did this time after time. Nothing I did helped me with the
problem.

I later gave up and put it on my laptop just for giggles. It
installed well too. I loaded several pictures in and it worked fine.
Next I thought I would see how far I could go. I loaded in nearly 200
pictures, 10 videos, and music. It took it all. I created a rough
video with it. By rough I mean that I didn't add any transitions or
special effects. It worked!

I would rather work from my desktop if at all possible.
Can anyone tell me what is going on.
Hello,

I have a prob - I can't grab digital Video though XP SP3 though devices are
recognized. The devicemanager shows as well the CAM (Panasonic NV-DS27EG) as
the Firewire Card (VIA chipset). System is XP pro SP3 - The Software freezes
to nearly zero spead when I switch on the CAM. Software running in
background: Avira free AntiVirus, PC-Tools ThreatFire, Windows Defender.

Does anyone have a good idea where to look? I tested the CAM and the cable
on a laptop with Ubuntu - CAM and cable are working. check on a laptop with
XP Home SP3 (and same background software) has the same problem.

I hope someone can give me the right answer to solve my prob.

Many thanks in advance,
Harald
> The source video is a 2 GB avi with no sound.
> The movie has an "Audio/Music" track with 2 sound effects and then
>
> I have two problems:
>
> 1) I can hear the audio/music track when the picture is playing, but
> when the video is playing I hear nothing.
>
> 2) When trying to save I got a general "Cannot save movie" message.
>
> + My source files are OK. I can play them all directly from the
> + I have 200 GB free space.
> Any other suggestions?
>
> Microsoft please read:
> Do you think that Abby is TELEPATHIC?
> Is it so hard to write "The file 'hammer.wav' does not exist?
> Is it so hard to write "Insufficient memory"?
> Or "Insufficiant disk space" ?
>
