Extra CD-ROM drive in Windows XP

Posted: 07-14-2003, 04:54 AM
Hi. I've looked through the knowledge database, but it
only shows a solution for Win98 (using Sysedit) which
doesn't work in XP. Basically, I ran SuSe Linux LiveEval
(runs straight from the CD without installation), and
ever since an extra CD-ROM drive shows up in my system (I
got 2 but am showing 3). Is there any way to get rid of
that virtual drive? Uninstalling it from Device Manager
doesn't work, the drive appears again after restart. Not
a huge deal, but annoying nevertheless. Thanks in advance!
