F6 while booting doesn't cause reaction..

Following some good advice here I am trying to update drivers...
The procedure was to press F6 while XP boots.... but nothing happens....
Is there some parameter I have to set?

The F6 thing is when XP is being installed - not starting

Once XP is up and running drivers are installed from within device manager.

The sata drivers should have been on yr mb disks
Updates available frm mb.site
