On the toolbar, click Favorites, the RIGHT click anywhere on the list, and
then click "Sort By Name".

Right-click any favorite, select sort by name. For more permanent
alphabetization of favorites and start menu, you can download a
registry tweak from Kelly, line 196.

In any window that shows Favorites in the toolbar, click to Display. You
can right click on any item and choose Delete.

There is also an "Organize" button at the top of the Favorites column and
an "Organize" choice under Favorites in the menu bar at the top of the
window. Both of these open the same item - a second screen that is useful
for modifying your Favorites list.

How may I prevent anybody from put their sites on my
Favorites folder? Some sites put themselves on my
Favorites list automatically when I visit them.

Disable scripting. That will get rid of pop-ups, too.

Right click on a favorite and pick "sort by name".

To arrange alphabetically, open Internet Explorer. Click on the word
"Favorites" in the menu on the top (not the icon). Right click in the
extended list of Favorites that appear and select "Sort by Name."

To organize Favorites, use this same menu but select Organize. Using the
window that appears, you can create folders for grouping and you can
move, rename and delete folders and favorites.

I recently made changes to my Favorites List. These changes show correctly
when I click on Favorites, but in the directory the changes are not
reflected. How do I update changes to my Favorites list in the C directory?
Thanks in advance, Fran

Keep in mind that "Favorites" are different for each user of the pc. Did
you look in Documents and Setting/your login/Favorites?
