What messages did you get when you installed the Fax Service?
What analog fax modem are you using and is it on the Windows XP HCL list?

But shouldn't the "console" be installed regardless of what kind of moden
I could understand the fax not working but all I'm trying to do is get my "fax console" to show
Thanks Russ

No. The Fax Service will only install and work correctly with certain analog
fax modems. In theory, those modems on the Windows HCL list will work. That
