Fax Console receive in auto mode does not receive faxes

I tried to use the MS Fax Console to send and receive
faxes. I was able to send and receive in the manual
mode. However when I configured it to the auto mode for
receiving it would not receive unless I went to the file
dropdown for receive now. I set the auto mode for 0 to
three rings and it still did not work.

Any suggestions.

This issue has been observed previously with modems that are not compatible.
Can you please check if your modem is XP-compatible as listed at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/cat...d-85df6a377206
