Fax from WinXP through Win2000 server

server from my Windows XP Pro.
The fax is a "US Robotics 28800 Fax/Modem".
Could this be because the server is part of a domain and
my machine is only part of a workgroup? (I do use a
username and password that is registred in the domain)
Given installation error: "Fax network client setup
failed. Please contact your system administrator."
