Feedback from my experience

1/ after having donwloaded and checked MD5, I faced up with "install.wim
missing or corrupt file" pb. I solved it burning another DVD, slowlier (speed
2X)
2/ then I had to face HD recognition pb (SATA). Solved by loading SIL3112
drivers...
3/ HD is recognized. but unable to carry on installation process because
"can"t find a system volume that meets its criterie"
and I am stucked here ! Tried to delete partition, create new one, format
with the windows installer... Nothing solved the pb.
Last point, while modifying HD structure, I faced a last pb : unable to
re-boot from anything (not even another bootable CD...) => stucked at bios
level with "bootmgr is missing"...
I solved it reformatting my HD thanks to the SATA RAID Controller.
(NB : without it, I wonder how I would have get back my computer working...)
At the moment, I think of buying an IDE drive to install Vista... hope it
will work better.
But if you have any suggestions, I would be happy to try them !
Thanks for your time and good luck for the coming monthes...
Hard work in perspective to get ready on time !
