File icon for "no program association" shows QuickTime icon.

There are files in Vista that have no extension (yes, I've uncheckmarke
the option: don't show extensions for known filetypes). Normally thes
kind of files have a neutral icon like the one on the left. Howeve
extensionless files (like the one on the right) now suddenly show a Q
icon. http://i44.tinypic.com/jkue08.jpg In Vista you can associat
files to open with a program and automatically these files get the ico
of the application. There is however no way to unassociate a filetype
unless you directly associate the file type to another program. So I'v
used a freeware program like Unassoc (v1.3) for Windows Vista Copyrigh

Hi Jim,

See if repairing the icon cache (using Disk Cleanup) helps.

Did that too. Rebuild System Cache and if that didn't help Remov
System cache. I have 2 programs that can do the job. Tune Up Utilitie
and MicroAngelo On Displa
