Which file specify the location of desktop shortcut

Could anybody tell me which file in XP used to specify the location of those
shortcuts in desktop? I want to make two XP boxes look the same. Thanks a
lot.

Do you mean this?
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Desktop

That is the container folder for an account's shortcuts.
