Find out who has logged onto XP

Posted: 06-05-2005, 05:52 PM
Is there a way to find which users have logged on to XP? I have a sneaky
suspicion that one of my kids gets up in the middle of the night to play PC
games. I remember being able to do this with DOS years ago on a system at
work. There must be a way with Windows XP. Thanks a bunch!

Type Auditing in Help. Choose to Audit Logons.

I typed Auditing in Help, and the return was a glossary note and some
Microsoft knowledge base articles, and none of them discuss "Audit Logons".
Thank you

Look in the System log in Event Viewer. Whenever the event log is started (at every boot) it logs it. This will confirm/deny someone using the computer.
