firewire card

i installed my firewire card, and when i started my
computer back up after putting the card in my empty PCI
slot, it says that i don't have the drivers to install
the card. but the instruction manual said that windows XP
should automatically detect my new hardware and install
it automatically. somebody please help me!

How old is the card?
