| "I just need the Audigy 2 ZS drivers, and my Canon scanner driver (Lide 60). Anyone know where to get these? Creative has a beta driver for the Beta 1 of Vista. Has anyone used those drivers on Beta 2 yet? " I would give the current drivers available on Creative a try, but before you do so, create a restore point first just in case something goes wrong. The same applies for Canon, you need to contact them about Vista support for your model scanner. Tip for installing the Audigy drivers: Extract the X-fi driver file file using WinZip for instance. Now go to the folder where you extracted the file. Find the Drivers folder. Now in that folder click on Support. Now click on i386 folder. In that folder you will find the ctzapxx.exe file. Double click on the file and the drivers should install correctly. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "Anthony" <chippe01@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:315EC7EA-ECD6-4EBA-9C63-A3F4282FEE16@microsoft.com... | I had no luck getting these drivers/ this procedure to work with my MSI K8N Diamond Plus motherboard, which uses an integrated "Audigy" sound card. (AKA SoundBlaster Live! 24-bit). So my Vista install is mute for the time being. "Andre Da Costa [Extended64]" <andred25@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:uMzo3oufGHA.2032@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... Quote:

| Check with the Microsoft Update, and the manufacturers website and see if they have Vista support yet )-- Zack Whittaker » ZackNET Enterprises: www.zacknet.co.uk » MSBlog on ResDev: www.msblog.org » Vista Knowledge Base: www.vistabase.co.uk » This mailing is provided "as is" with no warranties, and confers no rights. | OK, I'm impressed now! Download was a breeze, got the key after several attempts, install was much quicker than 5308 and MUCH more informative. At least you know what's going on now. Most of all... IT WORKS GREAT! I tried all manner of install tricks on 3 different machines to try and get 5308 up and running. The few times I was able to complete the install, it just would not run. This is so much better now! I just need the Audigy 2 ZS drivers, and my Canon scanner driver (Lide 60). Anyone know where to get these? Creative has a beta driver for the Beta 1 of Vista. Has anyone used those drivers on Beta 2 yet? | Guest

| One general comment : so far - other than see thru frames, I see no advantage. The ONLY difference that I do see is the path to "do things" is more cumbersome. Like changing my display settings. Instead of right-click - display , now I have to right-click - get menu - then select DISPLAY etc Other than a learning curve to find 'what I USED to know how to do', what are you folks finding so different ? | Guest

DO WORK. Not sure yet about the midi/gamepad port, but at least for sound, it works fine. And the 5.1 works, no need to install the crappy kX drivers any more! -- Christophe Vista beta 2 build 5384.4 | Guest
