Are you experiencing any other issues with your system? You might check
your RAM, and if you're running multiple sticks interchange them to check
that they're all good. RAM on Windows XP can cause serious faults if it
isn't matching, too.

That may be exactly right. I couldn't figure out where the "sai" was coming
from in this case. If you have another controller, why not try that and see
if you get the same errors.

Good, James. Thanks for posting back. I would suspect there is something
going on with that controller. Look forward to the results.

hi chris

just to let you know that i have had an email back from saitek they are
aware of a problem with the driver
and p4 hyerthreading they are working to try and solve the problem there
reply was

"this may be being caused by the Hyperthreading on your P4 processor. We're
currently working on a fix for this but in the meantime, try disabling
Hyperthreading in your PCs BIOS and see if it helps at all."

any thoughts on the above??

regards james

My thoughts are, I hope they hurry. 8-) Actually, you might try what they
recommend to see if that is really the issue. At least you've got their
recognition of the problem. How quickly they react to it, and fix it, is up
to them.
