Flip 3D issue

Posted: 05-29-2006, 06:59 PM
I am running Vista Beta 2 on my Toshiba M3 with Beta 2 driver from nVidia.
When I press "Windows key + Ctrl + Tab" the Flip 3D is shown.

However, as I am tapping the "tab" key to flip through applications and
select the one I want (by releasing all buttons. The Flip 3D is still there.
I have to press "enter" key to go to selected application. This doesn't make
sense, and extra key make it really annoying.

Anyone has this issue? Is this by design? or the nVidia driver is mess up.

Also, the "jagged" edges on the flip 3D totally ruins the coolness of it. :-(

Its simply because the "active" keys being the Windows key and Tab - the
Ctrl is "inactive" so therefore doing nothing. I can press Windows key +
Shift + Tab and it still displays Flip3D - I guess it's a "by design" thing

So, how does one do this on an IBM laptop that doesn't even *have* a Windows
key? (grrr!)

I guess IBM doesn't believe in having a Windows key (forget about such
useful shortcuts as Win-E, Win-R, Win-L, etc), and would much rather waste
keyboard space with things like that big fat blue Access IBM button...oh
yeah, I'm gonna use *that* all the time...

Seeing as Flip3D is an application - I'll see if I can write an application
to assign it to a different key instead - it's worth a try )
