floppy drive not functioning

Posted: 11-21-2003, 02:14 AM
My floppy drive is behaving quite peculiarly. It is
recognized by windows, and the drivers were automatically
installed. There "appear" to be no errors with the drive
but it simply will not read any floppy disk. The drive's
light comes on, but in trying to access the disk I recieve
the error "please insert a disk into drive A" as if there
actually wasn't a disk. If you have any insight or
experience, please e-mail me. Thank you.
