forgotten password

I have forgotten the password I used to protect my word95 document. Any way
to open the document without the passwor? Or anyone knows the maximum length
or characters of these passwordw so I can narrow the permutation?

Doc contents are really vital to me.

Thanks.

Go to http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ . There you will find
zip files that will let you create boot floppy disks or bootable CDs
that will enable you to reset any system password on an NT class
operating system

My daughter attempted to get online but the system would not accept her
password. She tried several times.....I even tried for her but could not.
When I was going to reset it under mine, it said that if I did it she would
lose all her email and other things. She just wants me to reset it. When
the window comes up about using a floppy disk or flash drive, we do not have
a floppy drive and I do not have a flash drive.
How do I reset her password and not lose her info? HELP!!

Deborah

If you are using an administrator account, you can simply change her
password.

Log on with your administrator account. Click Start and then click your
account picture at the top of the start menu.
This will open the User Accounts.
Click 'Manage another account'.
Select your Daughters account.
Click 'Change password'.
Enter the new password twice.
Click the 'Change Password' button.

Write the password down somewhere.

If you do not have a password reset disk, and you cannot change the password
in an administrator account, you will need to re-install windows.
