FSX and Low Virtual Memory

Posted: 12-13-2008, 12:01 AM

I am running Vista 32bit with 4gigs of ram, AMD Phenom 9950, just put i
an ATI 4870X2 with 8.11 drivers.

I have two hard drives, one 250gb with the OS and FS9 and FSX on it an
another 500gb with really nothing on it.

I have my virtual memory set up as follows:
C: and D: drive set to system managed. Should I set the custom siz
and to what intial and max size???

Total paging file size for all drives:
Min: 16mb
Recommended:4605mb
Currently allocated 6740mb

Im leaning towards the 4870x2 card the cause of the memory leak no
sure if it is a driver issue, might install the 5.8 version and see wha
happens. Also, plan on moving FS9 and FSX to the bigger drive. Wil
this help??

Thanks for any advise and I know this thread is out there many times
but they are all old, so I wanted to start a new one.

Thanks again
Bret
