FTP with IE7

I have a file server set up, but when I use the browser to ftp, it appears
(according to the file server log), that IE7 automatically puts the username
as: anonymous. Is there a setting that I can use to change this?

I can ftp using other tools, but I want to know why the IE7 on Vista is not
working.
