gamepad help!!

Hi

I just got in the mail yesterday my N64 USB adaptor, so i have put it in the
USB and it installed itself but in the game controllers option in settings
it says that i have a 4 axis 16 button joystick but i don't i have a N64
gamepad and it won't let me change it.

I can't get the bloody thing to work, can anyone help??
