gameport

I have recently built a computer w/ windows xp(home). I
wish to use my sidewinder Precision 2 joystick for a
filght game. When connected to usb port, there is no auto
detect. I open game controllers on the ctrl. pannel.
whenever I click add and select the sidewinder from the
list, I get this error message: "Your gameport or
gameport drivers are not properly configured. Please
consult the device manager." when I enter the device
manager, gameport is not located anywhere. what can i do
to enable my game controllers? Any help will be greatly
appreciated.
