Garabaged imaged fax recieved by Agere System AC'97 with XP SP2
Posted: 01-26-2005, 11:22 AM
Lang. Computer has Agere Systems AC'97 onboard chip, which is in HCL
of Microsoft. Driver for this winmodem is latest one available for
download version 1.41 (the previous version 1.30+). Modem responds as
Class 1.0 fax.
On the other side for test I have Zyxel Omni DUO workin on hylafax
4.1.2 on linux. It works ok with other fax machines.
There is problem: I can send fax from XP machine, but when I get fax
back - it connects, shows complete recieve, but the image looks like
garbled - size is 1728x90, only several line are filled( see
attached). I played with several options on unix side, tried differed
options like scanline, 1-D or 2-D MR compression - without success.
The logs looks like nice (see below):

Question: How to enable debug on windows side to understand why TIFF
files are garbaged?
(I'd looked into MSDN/google but without success, fellows from Redmond
- please help)
