Generic USB Hub Driver for XP

Posted: 01-13-2004, 06:20 PM
Hi,

I seem to be having a problem with usb hubs. Every time
I plug one in, the computer recognises it as a Generic
USB Hub, but can never find a driver for it! I have
tried many different hubs, but every time the same thing
happens. I think that it might be to do with the default
Generic USB Hub driver for Windows XP. Does anyone know
how I can obtain the driver(s)?

Any help would be highly grateful.

Eric

You have to upgrade XP to SP1 to update USB drivers.

You can download from the Windows website and get the
drivers for the USB 2.0. I have tried that, but my front
and rear USB will not work. XP searches for them, finds
them, but cannot find the drivers. If you get any other
responses please let me know. I have been working on
this problem tooooooooooooooo long.
