[gentoo-dev] Linux World Expo: Tues 6th & Wed 7th October 2004, London
Posted: 08-24-2004, 09:20 PM
I've been contacted by the organisers of the .Org Pavillion for this year's
Linux World Expo in London. They'd like to see Gentoo attend, and can
provide a stand, logo poster, and power for us if we do.
More details about the show are at http://www.linuxworldexpo.co.uk/
I can't make any commitment to them until I know whether or not we can staff a
stand for two days ;-) So, if you can make a firm commitment to help out,
send me an email.
I need offers of:
* devs and knowledgable users to staff the stand
(you don't have to be UK based (hint hint German conspiracy ;-). You
just have to be able to make it to London for at least one of the
days of the show)
* kit for the stand
- machines to burn Gentoo CDs
- machines to run demos & tutorials on
* ideas for good demos
* help with travel & accomodation costs
+ anything else I can't think of.
I've copied this email to our friends at FreeNode, and I'm inviting them to
join us on the stand if they wish - and if we're actually there this year.
It's up to you whether or not we go this year.
Best regards,
Stu
