Getting files from an older HD

Posted: 09-20-2003, 07:34 PM
Hi,
I have an external drive attached to my PC
containing a 2.5" IDE 7gb drive
form a laptop. The disk was readable in dos but wouldn't
boot. I need to get
some data of it and onto my new laptop. I gave it to a
company who hadn't
done anything in a week and when they returned to disk to
me I bought a USB
external case, intending to mount the drive this way. I
have tested the case
with another drive and I can read the files as normal.
However, my original
drive does not look like a FAT or NTFS drive. This is how
it was returned to
me.

All I can see on the disk is 10,000 files all called
found.000, found.001 etc.

Have you any idea what has happened, and any ideas on
what I can do about it?
