| I need/want to delete a folder. When I right click on the folder and choose delete, a message comes up saying I do not have permission to delete. How do I, full owner of a private HP Pavillion laptop (windows vista) give myself permission to do this simple task? | Guest

| Take ownership of the folder and the files in it. Give yourself Full Control. Delete the folder. As long you have UAC enabled this can all be done from Windows Explorer. http://technodigits.wordpress.com/20...windows-vista/ -- Kerry Brown Microsoft MVP - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca/phpBB2/ "inhisgrace007" <inhisgrace007@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B1D035B5-6FF1-4D2D-8701-F5798CC0103C@microsoft.com... Try to take ownership of the folder first, then delete it. Method Two in this tutorial will show you how. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67...ship-file.html Shawn -- brink *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.* WWW.VISTAX64.COM (\"HTTP://WWW.VISTAX64.COM\") *Please post feedback to help others.* | Guest
