For Good footage and for smaller files with good quality

This all began when one day i was bored, and mucked around with different combinations...
1st i tried importing off ym camera with wmv then saving some footage as Dv AVI this turned out shit
then i tried importing as wmv then saving as wmv bloody worst
i again tried DV AVI then saving to DV AVI this was gr8 but the file size was whoa!!!
then i tried importing it as DV AVI then saving as WMV this is small sizes with good quality got VCD it also enables you to fit hous of footage on a normal CD-R disc! very good!! hehehhehe
