Good Newsreader software?

I am currently using Outlook Express to view the newsgroups and it just
seems, well, cumbersome I guess. Anyone suggest something else to use? Was
thinking about Thunderbird but thought I would ask for people's opinions
before I install anything. I'll be using the software from XP
Also what would you suggest for using for the same purpose in Vista? I
havent tried the Windows mail yet...
