GPEDIT Settings

Posted: 01-02-2009, 04:08 PM
Windows XP, ALL the latest updates, etc. along with IE7. Went in to set some
settings using GPEDIT and found that under:

Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components -
Internet Explorer, the following settings were missing:

Prevent participation in the Customer Experience Improvement Program
Turn off Delete Browing History functionality
Turn off Managaing Phishing Filter

These settings are items I've set MANY times over MANY months on all of my
other images (Ghost) but this time they are not there. Has anyone run into
this before?

Thanks

Goto Start > Run, and type in gpedit.msc.
Right-click on User Configuration > Administrative Templates.
Click on Add/Remove Templates… in the pop-up menu.
Click the button Add… in the dialog box.
In the file open dialog box named Policy Templates, select system.adm
and click the Open button.
You should now see the missing items/folders

Tnanks, tried that but it didn't make any difference. The system.adm already
existed and it was the same size, date, etc. but I imported anyway.
