graphics driver install error

Posted: 10-30-2003, 06:51 AM
When I try to install the Nvidia driver for a new Geforce2
card, I get an error that states:
"An installation support file could not be installed. the
filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is
incorrect." I did a clean boot and get the same result.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Don

Hi,

Download the latest detonator drivers 45.23 WHQL from
nvidia.com and save it to a specific folder.
Right click on desktop/property/setting and change the
resolution to VGA mode and reboot to safe mode with
adminstrator previlage. Go to device manager and remove
the nvidia adapter and then reboot in normal mode. Open
the nvidia folder and install the drivers.

Hope it help.
